Black Art Matters Festival
In partnership with the Black Student Union, Amherst College Multicultural Resource Center and the Arts at Amherst Initiative, the Mead Art Museum is proud to present the fourth installment of the Black Art Matters Festival. Black Art Matters Festival is an affirmation and celebration of Black student artists and creators in the Five Colleges. This year, the festival will present an arts showcase by Amherst College students online via Zoom.

Participants in this year’s festival are Ashanti Adams ’24 (she/her), Rebecca Awuah’23 (she/her), Lauren Bell ‘22 (she/her), Zora Duncan ‘23 (she/her), Isabelle Geneve ‘23 (she/her), Michael Gibson Jr. ‘21 (he/him), Kendall Greene ’24 (she/they), DeLyna Hadgu ‘21 (she/her), Paul Jackson ’22 (he/him), Sterling Kee ‘23 (he/him), Jonathan Paul ‘22 (he/him), Danielle Reed ‘21 (she/her), Maya Roberts ’23 (she/her), and Abadai Zoboi ’24 (she/her).
